I finally got a chance to take some really nice shots showing the chrome fuel
door and the freshly tinted front windows. The factory tint
on the back door windows and the hatch window is great, but the
lack of
tint on the front doors just looked funny to me so I fixed it.
Swapped out the tail lights after shopping and investigating different models
and brands. These are Altezza lights, which normally go
for $175 to $225 all over the Internet, but I picked 'em up brand
spankin' new from some guy on eBay for $70!
I also took a few hours to do a killer detail job using
Zaino Brothers product line. Never in my life have I
made a car shine like this. Using the clay bar in the initial
prep stages just did wonders for the finish! The paint surface
is now as smooth and slick as the glass, and the shine is just
killer. Look at the reflection in the second shot down,
taken from about 20 feet away from the car. Like a mirror.
Almost forgot: I had this remote control PT Cruiser toy
that was originally in a dark green, so I repainted it to match
the real deal, right down to the chrome bits. Shouldn't
everybody have a toy version of their real car? Up next......BTG cat/back dual exhaust from PT Tuning, and I'm stripping off
all the emblems and entering "stealth" mode.
